Our final piece has no relation to our preliminary task
because we didn’t realise that it would be linked to our final piece.
In our preliminary task we used a simple camera to get used
to all of the camera techniques, which made the quality of our poorer than our
final piece. In our preliminary task we used shot reverse shot to show the
conversation of the 2 people. But in our final thriller we didn’t use shot
reverse shot because there was no conversation in our final piece and it wouldn’t
have fitted into our final piece.
In our preliminary task we used final cut express and for
our final piece we used adobe premiere. Our group preferred adobe because we
found it easier to use and to find and use different tools like the effects as
we didn’t know where to find them on final cut express. You can see a big difference in the editing from the preliminary task to the final piece as we used dissolves and it was edited smoothly.
Here are some examples of how our preliminary is different to our final piece:

In our preliminary task we had a deal that didn't have any problems.
But in our final piece we had a deal that went bad.
Also in our preliminary task we didn't put in any title sequences or dissolves to improve the edits so it jumped from shot to shot. But in our final thriller we used dissolves to show passing of time and to make it so it doesn't jump from shot to shot.
